Someone went a bit off-track while writing out the name of this Kent town for a new railway station sign. People were being welcomed to “Whistable” rather than Whitstable until a sharp-eyed passenger flagged up the misspelling. Southeastern bosses say the sign has been removed and a replacement – including the missing ‘t’ – will be installed this week.
