The daughter of a family man who loved the outdoors has pledged to take part in a walk in memory of her beloved father. Geoff Morris, who died on February 21 aged 85 after contracting pneumonia, was well known in Great Hallingbury for his walking exploits, which started with a 1,085-mile trek from Land’s End to John o’Groats – at the age of 64. He was a “footpath checker” in the village, where he lived since 1983.
