Thirty members of a concert band have returned from a successful overseas trip to Newark’s twin town. Newark and Sherwood Concert Band accompanied Newark Twinning Association to Emmendingen, in southern Germany. The trip celebrated the 40th anniversary of the twinning charter between the two towns. The band last visited Emmendingen in 2019, and its musicians were invited to perform at a celebration ceremony in the town’s Markplatz and also at a concert as part of the annual Weinfest held in the region.
