An animal charity has revealed the “bittersweet” number of animals it rehomed last year as it heads towards record-breaking figures. West Norfolk’s RSPCA Rehoming Centre, in Tilney All Saints, saw the highest number of resettled pets since before Covid-19, which is suspected to have been caused by the cost of living situation. In 2023, the centre rehomed 390 animals, including 184 dogs, 165 cats, 14 rabbits and 27 small pets, bringing the total to almost 2,000 over the past five years.
