Hundreds of hedges have been planted in Thatcham. A group of volunteers and members of the town council got together to plant 670 hedges. They were planted around Henley’s Allotments, Crowfield Drive, London Road Cemetery and Frank Hutchings Community Hall. This was a part of Greenham Trust’s Planning Project, launched in 2022 in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Greenham Trust offered local schools, councils, charities and community groups the opportunity to plant trees to enhance the local environment for the coming years.
