Reining two-time men’s 5,000-metre world champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen secured a place in the final with the fastest time in Wednesday’s heats at the Paris Games. The Norwegian failed to medal in the 1,500m on Tuesday evening, an event he won gold at Tokyo 2020, but bounced back to clock 13 minutes 51.59 seconds in the 5,000m heats.
