A fight at a Lidl supermarket has resulted in a shop worker being taken to hospital after being hit on the head with a bottle. The staff member at the store on Whitchurch Lane in Bishopsworth in Bristol suffered a head injury as officers were called at around 8.25pm yesterday. He was discharged from hospital following treatment for a laceration to their head from a bottle. The staff member reportedly challenged two teenagers, a boy and a girl, who were attempting to steal alcohol. Store security also prevented a slightly older couple from stealing steaks.
