Therecently produced graphic, published by the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), worryingly reveals how the nation has been severely hit by a wave of the deadly airborne illness. The health agency estimates that more than 82million birds have now been infected with a variant of avian influenza currently circulating in the wild – with their records showing there have been 1,116 outbreaks across 48 states.
