Realme is reportedly working on a series of Realme GT 7 smartphones for the Chinese market. The brand is expected to announce a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based smartphone in July in China. Initial leaks mentioned it as the Realme GT 6, but recent reports suggest that its name may change to Realme GT 7. There is currently no clarity on its nickname. The same phone is expected to make its debut in China in December 2024, as the company released the Realme GT 5 Pro in December 2023. Today, a Digital Chat Station whistleblower published a post on Weibo leaking key specifications of the Pro version months before its official announcement.

Realme GT 7 Pro specifications (rumored)

DCS’s Weibo post suggests that the Realme GT 7 Pro will have an OLED 8T LTPO screen with a 1.5K resolution. It will be a customized display panel supplied by a domestic display manufacturer.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 7 Pro could feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Although the leak did not reveal the battery size of the device, it claims that it boasts a sizable silicon anode battery, known for its higher energy density and fast charging capability compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries. Recall that the GT 5 Pro contained a 5400 mAh battery, which suggests that the GT 7 Pro could have a battery with a capacity of around 6000 mAh.

The leak also hints that the Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Unfortunately, the leak didn’t share details about the device’s other cameras. Recent reports claimed that this could be the first Realme phone to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
