Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of a highly rated player on the continent. Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar will be working closely on a number of deals this summer as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of pre-season later this month. A striker is certainly one of the priority positions they’re looking to strengthen in, as is a left-footed defender. That said, they’re now close to signing the latter and Romano has confirmed when a deal is expected to be completed.
