The Hisense U8NQ Mini LED TV has been launched in Europe and is already available for purchase. The U8NQ Mini LED TV comes with several decent features and also includes a solar-powered remote control. A similar model, the U8N, was launched in the US earlier this year.
The Hisense U8NQ is a 4K mini LED ULED TV in 65 and 75-inch diagonals. Both variants come with a remote control for solar charging, and this model is an improved version of the Hisense U7NQ. The U8NQ is brighter and has a lower input latency, which is suitable for gaming applications. The TV uses Mini LED Pro technology with local brightness control across the screen and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. In comparison, the U7NQ has a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits, so it is clear that the new model achieves significantly higher brightness than its predecessor.
The model supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ and HLG. It is also equipped with Hi-View Engine Pro processor that provides upscaling up to 4K. It has a naive refresh rate of 120 Hz as well as a 144 Hz variable refresh rate (VRR). VRR is triggered when you enter Pro gaming mode. The Hisense Mini LED TV also features AMD Freesync Premium Pro technology and 9.7 ms input latency. The TV runs on the Vidaa OS operating system, unlike the Google OS used in the U8N. Users still have access to streaming applications such as Netflix and YouTube, and can also control the TV using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
The Hisense U8NQ supports IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker modes, and the solar-powered remote control can be found using the Find My Remote tool. The U8NQ has a 60W 2.1.2-channel sound system that can be connected to a soundbar to enhance the sound quality. The device has HDMI 2.1, USB-C 3.0, and S/PDIF ports for connectivity. You can also connect to your TV via Bluetooth or WiFi 6.
As for the price, the 65-inch model costs €1,999/£1,799 and the 75-inch model costs €2,699/£2,299 in Europe.
