Eintracht Frankfurt management board spokesman Axel Hellmann has accused German football fans of hypocricy in connection with ongoing protests against German Football League (DFL) plans to bring in a strategic partner. Hellmann told the club’s assembly on Monday night that there was “a certain degree of hypocrisy” as he mentioned weekend protests by Hertha Berlin fans who threw tennis balls onto the pitch which interrupted the game against SV Hamburg for half an hour.
