Former international, Emmanuel Babayaro has jumped to the defence of Daniel Amokachi for rejecting “demeaning terms” to work as Super Eagles assistant coach. Amokachi was appointed as one of the assistant coaches to Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George in May. The former forward has however failed to join the team in preparation for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
