An explosion occurred near a Greek-owned merchant ship as the vessel travelled through the Red Sea on Tuesday, the Greek coastguard told dpa. The blast struck when the ship was about 90 kilometres from the Yemeni port city of Aden. None of the crew members, who all come from the Philippines, were injured, the coastguard said.
