Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Newbury town centre. The victim was approached between 9pm and 9.20pm on Sunday while walking in an alleyway off Bartholomew Street by the offender who punched and kicked him numerous times before two members of the public intervened. The victim sustained minor injuries and sought hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.
