Two friends drowned Monday afternoon after they went swimming in a Camden County lake, police said. A witness told officers around 2:45 p.m. that his two friends went swimming in Penbryn Lake and did not resurface, according to a release from the Winslow Township Police Department. Multiple agencies responded to assist in finding the two men. At 4:20 p.m., their bodies were recovered by Camden County Dive Team 3, the department said.
