Firefighters have spent more than seven hours tackling a blaze at an industrial estate overnight. Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier were called to Detling Aerodrome in Detling Hill, Maidstone just after midnight. The fire is believed to have been caused by commercial waste being set alight. People living nearby were advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to the amount of smoke.
