Two thirds of the signings made by Newcastle United this summer have been goalkeepers. Indeed, Newcastle have brought in Odysseas Vlachodimos and John Ruddy from Nottingham Forest and Birmingham respectively. It now means Eddie Howe has five goalkeepers in his squad, with the pair joining Nick Pope, Martin Dubravka and Mark Gillespie at St James’ Park.
