After having to relearn how to walk after an illness, a personal trainer is taking on the challenge of the London Marathon. Laurence Sugarman, 55, of Southwell, is set to run in the major race later this month, in aid of learning disability charity Mencap. It will be Laurence’s first time running the London Marathon, but he has previously run marathons in Manchester, Blackpool and even completed the Bolton Ironman which lasted a huge 15-hours.
