A girl has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by cutting her hair. Darcey Grace Rushby, aged 10, has had 12 inches of her curly locks chopped off in support of The Little Princess Trust, and in the process has so far raised a whopping £827. She was inspired by her friend Matilda to donate, and although very nervous she wanted a more manageable length for her curls. Darcey hopes to raise more awareness of the work that the charity does in making wigs for children receiving cancer treatment or suffering with conditions such as alopecia.
