Eboracum Baroque, an ensemble which performs many famous works from across the Renaissance and Baroque periods, is to return to King’s College Fellows’ Garden in Cambridge this summer for a performance of Purcell’s classic opera, Dido and Aeneas. The opera recounts the story of Dido, Queen of Carthage, and her love for the Trojan warrior, Aeneas. Purcell’s classic tale of love and betrayal sits alongside one of his lesser-known works, Bonduca.
