Orders for the German electrical and digital industry slumped further in June, the industry’s trade association ZVEI said in Frankfurt on Thursday. The value of orders is 26.3% below the same month last year. However, the ZVEI points out that there were some large orders in June 2023 that distort the comparison. Nevertheless, the industrial sector is also struggling with lower orders in the longer term, with the first half of the year 14.3% down on the same period last year.
