The Texas GOP is suing a lawyer they say fooled several former Republican candidates into believing they could prove voter suppression in Harris County, The Houston Chronicle reported. The suit alleges that attorney Elizabeth Alvarez lied when she told 17 candidates that she had reliable data that proved “more than 40,000 voters were suppressed” in the 2022 general election.
