A member of Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party was punched in the face on Saturday by a man at an information stand in Dresden, the party said. Hans-Jürgen Zickler, 70, a member of the AfD state parliament in Saxony, was suddenly assaulted, according to AfD Saxony spokesman Andreas Harlass. Dresden police confirmed the incident. The attacker was detained until the police arrived and criminal charges were filed.
