Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus arrived in Dhaka to head Bangladesh’s interim government that is due to be sworn in on Thursday, three days after prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s government was ousted in the face of violent student protests. Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman and key organizers of the anti-discriminatory student movement welcomed Yunus, who also pioneered microcredits to combat poverty, at Dhaka airport after his arrival from Paris.
