Sahra Wagenknecht, a former leading light in Germany’s hard-left Die Linke (The Left) party who left to form her own political movement, is set to officially present her breakaway party in Berlin on Monday. Her movement, called the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) until a formal name is chosen, is to be officially founded as a party. In October, Wagenknecht left Die Linke along with nine lawmakers and announced plans to found a new party.
