Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik appeared in court on Monday on the first day of a fresh bid to sue the state over his prison conditions. The sports hall of Ringerike prison has been converted into a temporary courtroom. Judge Birgitte Kolrud declared the proceedings open, according to the NTB news agency.
