German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is to lead the negotiations to further reduce greenhouse gases on behalf of the European Union at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, her delegation announced on Friday. The international community wants to take stock of its climate efforts at the United Nations conference, attended by around 97,000 leaders, activists, experts and lobbyists. The almost 200 delegations will also discuss steps to help achieve global climate targets.
