Three-time World Cup champion Veddriq Leonardo of Indonesia won gold in the men’s speed climbing at the Paris Games on Thursday. He edged out China’s Wu Peng by just 0.02 seconds to take the title with a climb of 4.75 seconds. Bronze went to Sam Watson of the United States, who set a world record of 4.74s, improving his own previous record.
