Italy’s Sofia Goggia won the 23rd race of her World Cup career and first of the season on Friday as she dominated the super-g in St Moritz. The 2019 world champion was 0.95 seconds quicker than Austria’s Cornelia Hütter, with Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami third in the opening super-g of 2023-24. Overall leader and defending World Cup champion Mikaela Shiffrin was fourth fastest, 1.08 behind the victor.
