A fire in a kitchen is believed to have been started by faulty electrical wiring. Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) was called to the blaze in Cotton Lane, Greenhithe, shortly after 11am today. Two fire engines attended the scene, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet before leaving the scene at about 12.30pm. No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. A spokesman for KFRS said: “The cause is believed to be linked to electrical wiring.”
