The former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany has called on Berlin to initiate diplomatic mediation in the Ukraine war, according to Andriy Melnyk on Saturday. Melnyk suggested that Chancellor Olaf Scholz could use Germany’s diplomatic channels to explore whether talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin would be worthwhile.
