A lorry has crashed into a village wall, sparking a fresh call to ban large vehicles from using part of a crossroads. Drivers in Wateringbury, near East Malling, faced delays after the HGV hit part of the village hall’s outer wall at around 8.45am this morning. Leader of Tonbridge and Malling council, Matt Boughton, warned drivers to avoid the road. He said the incident highlighted the issues with lorries using the A26 west of the crossroads.
