The son of the former Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and current government minister Gadi Eisenkot, Gal Eisenkot, was killed in the clashes with Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip. He was a reservist, according to The Times of Israel. Gal Eisenkot served as a military paramedic in the 699th Battalion of the 551st Reserve Special Brigade.
