Realme was the first brand to demonstrate 150W and 240W fast charging technologies in the smartphone world. Recent reports claim that the brand is now using 300W fast charging technology. Today, the brand has officially confirmed that it will hold an event on August 14 in China to reveal the new milestone in fast charging technology.

Realme 300W fast charging technology: What to expect?

Several smartphone brands, including Redmi, reportedly developed 300W fast charging technology last year. Recently, however, the trend in the smartphone industry has shifted towards offering larger batteries with a capacity of around 6000 mAh while maintaining fast charging at around 100W. It looks like Realme will be the first smartphone brand to announce 300W fast charging technology.

In June, Francis Wong, Chief Marketing Officer of Realme Global, said in an interview that his company was testing 300W fast charging technology. Official details of the new fast charging solution have not yet been confirmed. However, according to some reports, it can charge from 0 to 50 percent in less than three minutes, and up to 100 percent in about five minutes.

It is currently unclear which of the upcoming Realme phones will feature 300W fast charging support. The brand is expected to launch the Realme 13 and 13 Pro series of smartphones in China this month. At the end of this year, it will introduce the Realme GT 7 Pro, equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, it may not have support for 300W fast charging.

While the 300W Realme fast charging technology will be announced next week, it could be a few months before we see a Realme phone with this support.
