Google released the Pixel Watch 2 back in October last year, and the Pixel Watch 3 will be unveiled on August 13.
Ahead of the launch, the upcoming Google watch has been spotted on the FCC list, which reveals some key information about the product.
Unlike its predecessors, the Pixel Watch 3 series will be represented by two different models – Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 3 XL.
The FCC list contains a total of four model numbers – GBDU9, GGE4J, GG3HH, and GRY0E. They could mean the 41mm and 45mm variants of the Watch 3. According to the information below, the GBDU9 and GRY0E models will support LTE and UWB connectivity. The watches will also have Bluetooth, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The other two variants of the Pixel Watch 3 will only have UWB, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC, but will not have LTE connectivity. According to the report, all four models will have GPS support.
OnLeaks has previously shared renders of the Watch 3 revealing its design. The render shows a design that is very similar to the previous model. The Watch 3 will have the same round bezel-less display with a rotating crown on the side. The device is expected to feature a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, the same as its predecessor. The device will most likely be available in black with a matching strap. However, there may be other color options.
According to previous leaks, the Watch 3 will be slightly thicker than the Pixel Watch 2. The battery is expected to have a capacity of 307 mAh, which is only slightly larger than the 304 mAh of the Pixel Watch 2.
