German trade union Verdi said on Thursday morning that a 27-hour strike by Lufthansa ground staff has ended. The strike, which began on Wednesday morning, still led to some flight cancellations on Thursday. Operations were brought largely to a halt at five German airports on Wednesday as airport ground staff walked off the job as part of an ongoing wage dispute with the country’s largest airline.
