Following the K70 Ultra, the company is expected to introduce the Redmi Note 14 series of smartphones in August or September, and the Redmi K80 lineup in November. A recent report revealed the model numbers of the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro. A recent post by Tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo has shed some information about the K80 series.
Redmi K80 series design details (rumored)
According to the leaker, the design of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Redmi K80 Pro has been significantly improved. He added that the K80 series is likely to include a new glossy material and composite glass, while ceramics are under evaluation. It seems that one of the design options the company is considering is moving the camera module to the top left corner. The same leak previously claimed that the K80 series will have a Champion Edition version, just like the K70 series.
The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro IMEI database listings have revealed that these devices have model numbers 24122RKC7C and 24127RK2CC, respectively. Both phones are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. There is currently no clarity on the existence of the Redmi K80e.
According to reports, the Redmi K80 Pro will have a 2K flat display with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. It will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It is expected to feature a 5500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
There are currently no specific leaks about the Redmi K80’s specifications. There is speculation that the K80 and K80 Pro may be rebranded as Poco F7 and F7 Pro in the global market in 2025.
