In May of this year, iQOO introduced the iQOO Neo 9S Pro with the new Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. It was announced at a starting price of 2,699 yuan (~$375). Recent reports claim that the company is working on an iQOO Z9 Turbo equipped with the same chipset. As a Z-series phone, it will likely cost around 2,000 yuan (~$280) in China. The arrival of the Z9 Turbo+ seems to be just around the corner, as it has been approved by the regulatory body MIIT in China.

iQOO Z9 Turbo+ has received MIIT certification


As you can see above, a new Vivo device with the model number V2417A has been approved by MIIT. According to a report on Weibo from reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, the model number is related to the upcoming Z9 Turbo+.

Unfortunately, the MIIT certificate does not contain any information about the specifications of the iQOO Z9 Turbo+. Specifications of iQOO Z9 Turbo+ (rumored)

There’s a possibility that the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ could be similar in many ways to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered iQOO Z9 Turbo, which debuted with a price of 1,999 yuan (~$280) in April in China. According to the leaks, the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ will have a flat OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5 thousand dots and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The device, which operates under the Dimensity 9300+ standard, is expected to be equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery. The rest of the phone’s specifications are kept secret.

As a reminder, the Z9 Turbo features a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, has LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide-angle) dual camera setup.
