Two new characters have been added to the popular Mr. Men and Little Miss series of children’s books. Mr. Fib and Little Miss Surprise are the first new characters to be added to the series since Mr. Calm and Little Miss Brave were added in 2021 for the 50th anniversary of the first book. Originally created by British writer Roger Hargreeves in 1971 with ‘Mr. Tickle’, inspired by his son Adam. Between 1971 and 1988, Roger wrote and illustrated the series, adding the Little Miss series from 1981. After his death in 1988, his son Adam took over writing and illustrating duties.
