Mississippi State went heavy in the transfer portal for the 2024-25 women’s basketball season and coach Sam Purcell is hoping that he’s struck gold with his new roster. UAB point guard transfer Denim DeShields is one of those transfers and is coming off of back-to-back season with the Blazers in which she earned All-Conference honors with 13.2 points per game in two seasons and 5.0 assists a game.
