Liverpool had not expected to be in the Premier League title race this season. Expectations were low for the Reds after a poor fifth-placed finish during the previous campaign. A route back into the Champions League was the best most supporters were hoping for. However, in what turned out to be Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield, Liverpool did far better than predicted.
