Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces continued their offensive south of Toretsk near the settlement of Nelipivka, and southwest of the town near Sukha Balka on Sept. 7 and 8. Russian military bloggers acknowledged Ukrainian counterattacks in neighboring New York (south of Toretsk), counterattacks in the northwestern part, and the advance to the center of the town.
