Newcastle United followed up their derby day delight with even more good news on Monday. The club announced a new contract for Fabian Schar, with the defender extending his stay at St James’ Park until 2025. His deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but he will now be with us until the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign. Schar had been hoping for a new contract, and now he has got his wish.
