The family of a high school student killed in a high speed crash in Salem County has filed a lawsuit alleging a stop sign blocked by trees or shrubs led to the wreck. Evan F. D’Anjou, 15, was a passenger in a car driven by Dane T. Pierce, who was allegedly traveling at more than 100 mph before he ran a stop sign and struck a tree in Pittsgrove on May 3, 2022. D’Anjou, a student at Schalick High School in Pittsgrove, died of his injuries.
