German economic analysts have noted a slight decline in the number of businesses going bankrupt, even though the number of insolvencies in the first half of the year was significantly higher than in the previous year. In June, the number of insolvencies fell for the second month in a row, according to the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH).
