At least 11 people were killed in pro-Iranian Arab tribal militia shelling on areas in eastern Syria, a monitor group and Kurdish sources said on Friday. Six children were among those killed in intense shelling of the village of Dahla in the eastern region of Deir al-Zour, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The war monitor said the number is likely to rise as five other people were wounded, some of whom are in critical condition.
