Several sources claim that Xiaomi will announce its flagship phones Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro in October this year. Both devices are expected to debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phones. A new leak that appeared on Weibo has leaked the alleged specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro well in advance of the launch. Here is the information about both smartphones that the leak reveals.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15 will be a compact flagship phone with a 6.36-inch flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be a larger device featuring a 6.73-inch OLED screen with micro curvature on all four sides and support for 2K resolution. Both screens will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1400 nits in HBM (high-brightness mode).

Smartphones based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The standard model will have a 4800 mAh or 4900 mAh battery with support for 100W and 50W wired and wireless charging. The Pro version, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 5400 mAh battery. It will support 120W and 80W wired and wireless charging.

On the front, Xiaomi 15 series smartphones will have a 32-megapixel front camera. The vanilla model will have a pair of 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H sensors for the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras. The rear camera will also feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The rear panel of Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50N main camera, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both devices will have IP68 protection, 5.5G network connectivity, dual speakers, and an IR blaster. The Xiaomi 15 will feature a 0809B linear motor and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, while the 15 Pro will be equipped with an x-axis linear motor and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
