A road will be closed for up to a week after a mound of what appears to be car parts was dumped – and investigators say it could be linked to “organised crime”. Motorists will not be able to access Dean Bottom in South Darenth, near Dartford, while investigations are under way. Drivers will be diverted to an alternative route via Rabbits Road and Canada Farm. Kent County Council Highways will deal with the removal of the rubbish, which could take up to seven days.
