Following Donald Trump’s election victory, special prosecutor Jack Smith wants to decide by December 2 on how to deal with the case against the president-elect surrounding the events of the 2020 election. Smith on Friday asked a federal judge to set aside the previous timetable, citing “unprecedented circumstances.” Judge Tanya Chutkan immediately agreed.
